Empty classroom day/Premier sport enrichment day

On Friday 24th June it was empty classroom day organised by Mrs Parsons and a sports enrichment day that was run by Premier sports.

The plan for the empty classroom day was that all children did their learning outdoors.  It was started by a whole school session on the playground where there was junk modelling on a large scale and making a collage of our school house shields.  However later in the morning it rained very heavily and as many children didn't have rain coats we had to move the activities indoors.

Maple class had a maths session out on the patio.  They were thinking about fractions and drawing shapes into quarters and then working out how to find a quarter of a number, using different resources.
The Premier Sports activities were based on sports in the Olympics, to tie in with this terms topic.
