Gardening Club

Gardening club is run on Tuesday after school and is run by Mrs Poole (Ash class).  They help make our school grounds look nicer by planting seeds, looking after plants around the school grounds and by growing on seedlings to sell at the school summer fair, which help raise funds for them to buy more plants and materials.

Term 5
On Thursday 18th May the Gardening club ran a plant sale to help raise money for our swimming pool fund.  Thank you to everyone that came along to support us we raised £55!

Term 4

The first Gardening Club session took place on a beautiful, warm and sunny day. We cleared the large planter of dead plants and weeds.

We added new compost and planted carrot and spring onion seeds.

We planted beans, tomatoes, sweetcorn, courgettes and pumpkins. We were very busy potting up the little tomato plants into individual pots.

Term 1   2016-17

We have been busy pulling up weeds, clearing the planters and washing flowerpots.  We harvested some delicious carrots and spring onions and picked some apples to take home.

Term 1 2015-16

The Autumn Gardening Club has enjoyed harvesting purple and yellow carrots, spring onions and our prize pumpkin!  It was very heavy and four children had to lift it into the wheelbarrow.

We cleared away dead leaves and weeds, and picked some delicious apples and ate them straight from the tree.

We have nearly run out of flower pots! If anyone has any small or medium sized pots spare, we would be very glad to have them.
