We all joined together today to say a goodbye to Mrs Knight as it was her last day with us. Mrs Knight has been a member if our school team for 18 years and has had a massive impact on many children that have been here. She has had several different roles in school but the one she will be remembered most for is her work with our School Council. She has worked very hard supporting these children who in turn have had a very positive impact of the lives of the other children at CCI.
We celebrated her time with us today by having a song from our choir, which was a specially adapted tune all about Mrs Knight having a fright - which was good fun. The children had also written some things about Mrs Knight that Mrs Maybury had then turned into a poem that was read by the School Council. She was then presented with some flowers, a keepsake book that Mrs Doman had made with cards, photos and comments from each class and of course a school leavers bear! We will miss her very much but wish her all the best for the future.
Here is the poem from the children:-
Thank you Mrs Knight for all you do!
Polite, helpful, tidy and beautiful too!
We really love your curly black hair,
And the way you're caring and ever so kind,
You never mind us leaving our badges behind.
You're lovely and loving; we'll really miss you.
We hope you find lots of fun things to do.
Thank you for leading School Council so well,
You did a great job - we all think you're swell!
Many thanks to Mrs Maybury for putting that together for us.
