Harvest experience

Today we have had an amazing Harvest Day.  All the children have looked into different types of Harvest.  YR have chopped vegetables, made soup and tasted different vegetables.  KS1 have all taken part in Experience Harvest looking at Harvest of the Sea, The Earth, Grain, Garden.  These activities included origami boat making, bread tasting, planting cress & making clay pot.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to Sainsbury’s and Co-op in Downend for their generous donations of bread and vegetables.  Also further to your amazing contributions each class has been able to take part in different harvest themed activities.  There were activities such as making flapjack, making bread, lentil pictures, clay hedgehogs and pumpkin parcels to share with our friends.  The children were totally engaged in their learning and couldn't wait to show off what they have made during the day.

Pastor Peter came in from Fishponds Baptist church to tell us all about the foodbank and how your donations will be used.
