Tennis club runs on Monday after school with Rosa.
During tennis club the children have been continuing to practise their fore hand, back hand and volleys. They enjoy playing games to see which team can get the most points.
Term 1 2016-17
Tennis club has started again for this term and the children have been recapping fore hands and back hand ways of hitting the ball. They love it when it's time to pick up all the tennis balls and seeing how many they can carry on a tennis racquet with out dropping them.
In term 6 the Tennis club is now run for the EYFS children. They have been taking part in racquet based games and learning how to do forehand passes. They love to finish the session with some games and this week they were playing a mixed game of chicken run and hailstorm.
In tennis they have been playing one of their favourite games Buddy with Rosa and continuing to improve their tennis skills.
The tennis club children have continued to work on forehand and backhand racquet skills. Some of them are getting really good now at getting the ball back to Rosa more accurately.
Tennis club have been practising lots of different skills including forehand, back hand and this term under arm ways of hitting the ball. They have great fun collecting the balls on a tennis racquet and seeing if they can carry it loaded with balls.
Tennis club have been further improving their skills by working still on their fore hand, back hands and volleys. They all love running about collecting all the balls back in after each game.
Term 1 2015-16
The tennis club is really popular again this term and the children have been working on different basic tennis skills such as back hands, fore hands, punch volleys and underarm serves.
