Week beginning 30th January 2017
Collective Worship- So whilst our worship value continues to be ‘Courage’ we are thinking about all of our values across our school lives and how this looks. Collective Worship this week has been focused on revisiting our values and introducing the idea of recognizing where we see others in the school demonstrating our values.
Week beginning 6th February 2017
In collective worship we have talked about being courageous with our learning and persevering when things are tricky. We watched the inspirational clip of Heather Dorniden’s 600m race where she fell flat on her face but got up and went on to overtake her competitors to win the race. Some courageous individuals came up to the front and persevered with some challenging tasks! We also thought about doing the right thing, not the easy thing and how we have to have courage to do this! Next term we continue with our theme of courage and have shifted things around so that children will have Thursday collective worship in their class. This will give greater opportunity for the children to explore and reflect on their own ideas, thoughts and feelings inspired by the messages and stories they will have heard earlier in the week.
