Willow class really enjoyed the trip to Court Farm and we learnt lots about the farm and animals there.
During our art lessons we have been looking at the work of Giuseppe Arcimboldo who created imaginative portrait heads made entirely of objects such as fruits, vegetables, flowers, fish, and books, which inspired us to have a go at creating some of our own!
To launch our Survival topic this term we made some clay animals and then went outside and made places for them to live.
We have been trying really hard with our guided reading and have been enjoying the books.

During our RE lessons we have been looking at Palm Sunday and made some palm leaves to re-enact the story.
We have been planning and designing our own vehicles. We then made them with Lego following our plans. We were very pleased with the results!
We started this terms topic with a Lego party and worked with the other year 1 children to make a fantastic Lego town, it was great fun!

Term 1 2017-18
Willow class have got of to a great start this year and have been working really hard on their maths. They have been drawing and using tens frames to help them.
We have also been practising counting in 2's and using different resources to help us.
We have been looking for signs of Autumn and have been out and about the school grounds looking for changes.
