Early Years Foundation Stage

Each child’s level of development is assessed against the early learning goals (ELG). The table below shows the percentage of children that are meeting expected levels of development. To achieve a good level of development (GLD), children should meet the ‘expected’ ELG in all seven areas of learning: communication and language; personal, social and emotional development; physical development; literacy; mathematics; understanding the world, and expressive arts and design.

Year One Phonics Check

Children in Year 1 undertake a phonic screening check to assess their ability to decode words and non-words phonetically. The table below shows the percentage of children passing their phonics screening check at the end of Year 1.

End KS1 Results

At the end of KS1, the children are assessed in reading, writing and mathematics. The table below shows the percentage of children working at the expected standard for Year 2 (At) or above the expected standard for Year 2 (Above). KS1 Statutory Assessment Tests (SATS) are no longer required, so the last national data available for comparison is the 2023 KS1 SATS data as shown in the table.

SIAMS - Reports

SIAMS LogoSIAMS stands for Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools, which is the inspection process for Diocesan Church schools.

SIAMS inspection focuses on the impact of the Church school's Christian vision on pupils and adults. This involves looking at the school’s Christian vision, the provision the school makes because of this vision and how effective this provision is in enabling all pupils to flourish.
