Support us – Please attend our events, help out if you can, give feedback, Join the committee, become a class rep, raise commission when shopping online, donate old uniform.. We can’t be successful without you all.

How you can help now:

Please join our school lottery!

It’s really easy to do, takes a couple of minutes.

We will have our own weekly draw which only our school supporters are entered into. This means we are guaranteed that someone from within our school community will win every week.

The more numbers that are issued within our school community, the bigger the prize becomes. Currently £20 each week but this will go up as more of you sign up! We are all also all entered into the draw for £25K each week.

If you do one line a week by direct debit it works out as £4.38 a month - that's pretty much the same cost as two school dinners – which the infants don’t currently have to pay for – bonus?

Please Sign up now -

Raise funds while shopping online - With most of us shopping online anyway this is a really simple way to raise extra funds for CCI!

You only need to register once, select Christ Church Infant School Downend as your good cause

Download the donation reminder – When you are shopping on a site that will give us commission it asks you if you would like to activate donation – just tick the box. – That’s it. Easy! Doesn’t cost you anything (just 5 mins of your time to initially set up).

use our fundraising code – 35732 when ordering to raise up to 30% commission for our school!

Donate old clothing and Uniform -

If you have any uniform (logo'd and non logo'd) you no longer want please bag it up and send into the office - we will be running lots of pop up second hand uniform sales in playground - everything gratefully received.

Anything else? Please gather unwanted clothing, paired shoes, handbags and belts for our recycling campaign (we get cash for it) and bring them in on collection day!

Be green and reuse any bag from home when packing your textiles for recycling

What is the Friends of Christ Church Infants?

All parents, carers and guardians of pupils currently at the school and staff currently employed by the school are all automatically members of the Friends of CCI (FoCCI)

The FoCCI Committee are a voluntary group of parents/carers who are responsible for the management of the association and deciding how funds raised are spent. The Committee are voted in each year at the Annual General Meeting (AGM)

To find out more about the committee, the roles and how you can get involved click Here

What do the Friends do?

Ultimately it is about raising money to help support the school and its children.

The funds raised are used to supply activities or equipment that the local authority is unable to provide, items that the children wouldn’t have without the FoCCI but it’s not just about raising money, it’s about building a vibrant school community – if the parents / carers / staff get on the kids will too!

The FoCCI will help to promote social activities to help build the school community as much as and whenever possible and if we can raise a bit of extra money along the way then we will. We want to ensure our school continues to be a happy, fun place to be where memories are made for both the children and parents / carers.

The Committee.

On Oct 6th 2017 at the first FoCCI AGM will form the new committee. (after drop off, school hall – all welcome, there will be coffee / Tea and biscuits and a few toys to hopefully keep any little ones busy)

We are looking for Officers – Chair, Treasurer, Secretary etc and Ordinary members.

Being on the committee is FUN you get to meet new people, make new friends and raise loads of money for the school.

All the officer roles can be shared; joint Chairs, Joint treasurers etc are welcomed so do feel free to pair up and step up together or ask someone to be your deputy to support your new role.

This is a brand new Friends association for 2017 and we need you to get involved to set the standard and make it awesome

We envisage this being a fun, informal group. If you would like to join the committee or want to find out more please drop us an email or message us on our Facebook page

Nominations to date for the new FoCCI Committee are:

Chair – Katie Rankin

Secretary – Christina Watson

We have more roles to fill – please please get in touch – it really is great fun and a fab way to really get involved with the school and have a say in the event we do and how the money raised is spent.

Anna Martin (Head Teacher) has kindly volunteered to be the School Representative on the committee:

The current Committee (Friends of Christ Church Schools) who will step down in October (but can. if they wish be nominated for a new FoCCI Role) are;

Katie Rankin – Chair.

Georgina Willmott – Treasurer.

Louise Branch, Emma King & Michelle Jeffery – Others.

Please do feel free to speak to any of the current committee if you have any questions.

Class reps: (New for Sept 2017)

Being a class rep gives you an active role in making the FoCCI successful. The role involves but not limited to:

  • Passing on comments / feedback from parents in your class to the FoCCI committee
  • Giving information to parents from the FoCCI.
  • Helping to sell tickets etc to your class.
  • Helping organise events for your class or school.

If you are regularly in the playground, confident, sociable and happy to pass on information and to ask parents to help with events then why not become a class rep?

There are no limit to how many reps each class can have (and there is no voting or election!) being a class rep gives you a greater say in the events we do and how funds are allocated, it’s a great way to get involved and get to know the school community better. More details about being a class rep can be found here

We are seeking class reps from September 2017 – please let us know if you want to become a class rep!

Our class Reps for 2017/18 so far can be seen by clicking here

Events.

Our events will be added to our Facebook page (you do not need to have an account to view this page) and the school calendar. We will also email / Text the details out.
