Our GLOW (group leading our worship) team went over to Christ Church today with Mr Jones to work alongside the CCJ GLOW team meeting some of the people from Christ Church Downend. They had a great time playing some classic games with the community and were such good ambassadors for CCI. Great work team!
On Monday, we were lucky enough to have a silly science day at CCI as the start of Science Week. The children loved their workshops but especially enjoyed the exploding coke and mento experiment. These workshops encouraged the children to be curious and to marvel at the wonderful world around them, giving them some lovely spiritual moments.
Thank you so much to Miss Gould, our lead scientist, for organising a brilliant week.
Today our Y6 children came back from CCJ to read to our Y1 and 2 children in a giant reading cafe. We were so impressed to see how the Y6s took this so seriously and really supported any children who were a bit nervous of these giants
Thank you to CCJ staff for bringing them over, to Mrs Rylands for organising and to our Y6s for being amazing!
We really enjoyed trying out the new bikes today which were bought by the Friends after lots more brilliant fundraising. We are also really enjoying the new picnic benches that were also bought by the Friends earlier this year.
And it was finally sunny so we could get outside and enjoy our outdoor spaces a bit more.
Some of our wonderful Y5 children came back to CCI on Monday to help our Y1/2 children with their infant agility training. It was so humbling to see the levels of care, support and encouragement that they showed our children and as a result they all thrived and grew in confidence. What wonderful young leaders!
What an amazing Brick Show 2024! We really hope you enjoyed it if you came along and if you didn’t, here are a few pictures.
Our stunning Lego Logo was revealed and we’d like to thank CCJ pupils and lots of families who helped to complete this after our hard work at school.
Lego Luke and his many helpers/friends and family members made today super special for us all at CCI and the wider community so big thanks go to all of them but especially Luke.
We hope to have raised lots of funds for the school - final amount to be shared soon once Luke had had a well deserved day off.
