Thu 14 Jul 2022 Mr Jones

Our amazing Y2s put on a superb performance of the Lion Cub for parents and carers. Below is the picture of them celebrating the end of of their performance with their leavers bears! What a way to end their 3 years with us at CCI… They showed courage and respect to each other today and made all of the staff so very proud. You are ready for the next chapter now Y2s, embrace every challenge that comes your way. CCJ is one lucky school to be getting you all.

  • EYFS Challenge - 'Where does food come from?' picnic

Thu 07 Jul 2022 Mrs Martin

It was wonderful to see so many of our EYFS families come along to support the challenge at the end of our children’s enquiry ‘where does our food come from?’ this afternoon.

The children have been busy learning about different food types and where it all comes from and they wanted to work towards making pizzas and fruit salad for a giant picnic. Thank you so much to the staff for making their learning so purposeful and to our families for giving up their free time.

  • The Blood Hound STEM Day

Tue 05 Jul 2022 Mr Jones

Y1 and 2 children are LOVING their Bloodhound project day! They were inspired by the talk in the morning about the Blood Hound vehicle Land Speed Record and then worked in teams to design and build the fastest, jet powered, vehicle that they could. The children tested their vehicles on the track and then evaluated them in order to make them even better!  A great ‘STEM’ day for our budding engineers!

  • Year 2 Mad Olympiad

Mon 04 Jul 2022 Mr Jones

We are all so proud of our amazing Y2s! Their behaviour, teamwork, courage and compassion for each other was absolutely outstanding!

As we paraded around the track our chants were the loudest and our smiles the biggest.

There were several children who overcame their nerves to compete and they ended up doing so with big smiles on their faces. This is something they won’t forget.

When things went wrong, they picked themselves up and carried on with determination and showed such resilience. Not everyone could do that and we saw other teams doing the opposite.

It is hard when not everyone wins but all of the children will get a medal as soon as we receive them for being incredible athletes and the trophy for everyone stands proudly in our entrance.

Well done to Puma relay team who won the final and to the whole team for scoring the most points overall and being 2022 champions

  • Sports Week 2022

Mon 04 Jul 2022 Mr Jones

We kicked off National Sports Week 2022 today with some cheerleading and rugby workshops! Huge thanks to Jonathan Mills, Daisy's dad, for leading the rugby sessions. The company who ran the cheerleading sessions for us will be running an after school club at some point so if your child enjoyed it, look out for these!
