Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Congratulations to our amazing CCI choir for their wonderful performance at the concert last night. They sang so proudly and we really hope everyone enjoyed seeing them perform. Thank you to Miss Gould for doing such a wonderful job with them all and to so many of you who were able to come and support the children.
Penguin Class have been busy creating eggs for the community Easter Eggs trail and yesterday some of Penguin Class went into Downend for a photo shoot to promote the opening of the trail. The eggs will now be displayed around Downend so we hope you enjoy spotting them all... There is even a prize draw that you can enter if you manage to find them all so get hunting!
This week our Y2 children have been enjoying being Geographers and Musicians as part of their enquiry 'Where is my school?'. The children created soundscapes which involved them identifying which sounds they could hear around the school and local area.
Then they traced aerial photographs of the school and local area and recorded the sounds and local landmarks on them, using tracing paper and natural light. The Duck & Willow and Mokka seemed to feature quite heavily on the maps - no judgment here! :)
We had so much fun in our drama workshops this week at CCI! The smiles say it all so thank you so much to Miss Robbins for organising this. This was a freebie in exchange for the flyers you have hopefully received this week.
Today we wore red for Comic Relief and the school looked so colourful! Thank you all so much for your donations, the children have really enjoyed learning about the difference they could make.
It was a very cold day for EYFS at the farm today but they had a wonderful time despite the snow! Thank you to our many volunteers and staff who did their best to keep the children warm today and to Miss Robbins for organising the trip as part of the children’s enquiry ‘How can we care for pets?’
This time last year we had to take sun cream!!!
