Y2 have created some fantastic moving mechanism pictures whilst being engineers and geographers for the challenge at the end of their enquiry 'How do things move?'. They were inspired by their visits to Page Park and the pop-up books that they evaluated at the very beginning of the enquiry.

We are hoping to run a writing workshop in Term 4.
We had our first school council meeting today (after stopping during Covid and never starting again ) and it was an absolute pleasure to chat to them all.
These brilliant representatives were voted for by their class as children who would remember messages, talk confidently to their classes and the whole school, have creative ideas and be role models at CCI.
Their first meeting involved discussing the ‘break a rule’ day coming up and how they could get their classes to feedback which rules they’d like to break.
The donated balance bikes have been a huge hit at playtimes…thank you so much to those of you who donated. If anyone has any more knocking about at home that are too tatty to sell or pass on then we would happily take them off you!
These amazing engineers were proudly showing the moving pictures that they had created as part of their enquiry. These were made as part of the practice stage before the final challenge next week.

Tiger Class impressed us with their superb drawings of the Gruffalo. They persevered following the steps to create these impressive works of art. Great work Tiger Class!
