Mrs Courtney leaving event

After school on Monday 22nd July we said a thank you and goodbye to Mrs Courtney after being with our school for the last 22 years.  We celebrated her time with us with a beautiful cake, kindly made by Katie Rankin, we had some former members of staff come back for a visit as well as some of her previous pupils.  The crocodile class children presented her with some gifts from them and their parents. 

The next morning Crocodile class held a tea party with Mrs Courtney's china collection, with a quick etiquette lesson and then we all tucked into the cake  - it was delicious!

We will be sad to see Mrs Courtney leaving - she's not retiring - but has decided to see what other paths her life takes her and we wish her every success for the future.  We will be seeing Mrs Courtney in school for a few weeks in September supporting a new reception child.
