Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
It was wonderful to welcome back some of our Y5 children today, who supported and taught our Y1 children in their infant agility sessions. What natural leaders they have become, who totally inspired our young sports stars!
Thanks to Miss Gould for organising this event with CSET.
Here are a few examples of the work that the children have been doing recently that have been sent for Head Teacher awards. What a fantastic bunch of artists, engineers, authors and mathematicians we have at CCI! Keep up the good work!
The snow machine was out on full this morning to welcome our community on the final day of term. We would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and hope that you all manage to spend some time relaxing with family and friends over the holidays.
Rocksteady Christmas performance 2024
Proud beyond belief - what an amazing concert from totally incredible children! I have seen them grow in confidence, find new courage and just totally smash their new found skills.
Thank you to Ali, their amazing teacher, Miss Gould for organising and our incredibly support families who came along to enjoy the performance.
Lovely Y1 trip to the Bristol Old Vic today to watch Little Red as part of our ‘50 ways to live life to the full’ at CCI.
Thanks to Mrs Rylands for organising the trip and to our wonderful parent volunteers
Christmas Dinner 2024!
Today was a huge success thanks to our wonderful kitchen team, Jo, Ashleigh and Chrissy (with a little help from Miss Evans!) and our lunchtime team.
The children loved the food, decorations, music and the staff eating with them. Every child was super polite and well behaved and we are so proud of them all.
A really special day
Here are some photos of the children performing their nativity plays. They were absolutely amazing!! They performed with courage and enthusiasm. The children have obviously practised their lines so much at home and I would like to say thank you to our families for all their hard work and support. Thank you also to all of our families who were able to come along and enjoy the children retelling the events of that first Christmas.
Crocodile and Giraffe classes went to Christ Church today to enjoy ‘Experience Christmas’.
It was such a meaningful way for the children to learn about why Christians celebrate Christmas and all of the different stages in the Christmas story. The children drew gifts they might give to a new baby, wrote peaceful notes for loved ones, learnt about the journey to Bethlehem and gave gifts to Baby Jesus in the crib. They even got to smell Frankincense and Myrrh!
Thank you very much to the wonderful volunteers from Christ Church who showed such patience and care to our Y1 children, in brilliantly planned activities.
Today officially marks the start of the Christmas season as we all worked together to decorate our school Christmas tree.
Every child hung their own decoration on our tree as we sang Christmas carols and songs.
This is usually a fairly excitable service but the children were so calm and well behaved today, something we were very grateful for.
These wonderful Y2 children went to Cleve Lodge Retirement home today to read to some of the residents there.
I feel incredibly proud of the children as I look at these photos as they are clearly showing so much courage in reading to people unknown to them and compassion to these wonderful people who need company and friendship. I’m sure they also provided some entertainment too!
