Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
We had our first school council meeting today (after stopping during Covid and never starting again ) and it was an absolute pleasure to chat to them all.
These brilliant representatives were voted for by their class as children who would remember messages, talk confidently to their classes and the whole school, have creative ideas and be role models at CCI.
Their first meeting involved discussing the ‘break a rule’ day coming up and how they could get their classes to feedback which rules they’d like to break.
The donated balance bikes have been a huge hit at playtimes…thank you so much to those of you who donated. If anyone has any more knocking about at home that are too tatty to sell or pass on then we would happily take them off you!
These amazing engineers were proudly showing the moving pictures that they had created as part of their enquiry. These were made as part of the practice stage before the final challenge next week.
Here are some amazing before and after photos showing the incredible progress our Y1 and 2 children have made as authors since September!
Tiger Class impressed us with their superb drawings of the Gruffalo. They persevered following the steps to create these impressive works of art. Great work Tiger Class!
Term 3 Lego Club - We have been so impressed with the creativity and team work that we have seen in our amazing CCI Lego club. Well done everyone!
Thank you so much for the photos of the children enjoying the snow and Christmas music on the way into school this morning, it was very kind of you to email these in. We hope you all have a lovely Christmas and enjoy the break!
Christmas Dinner 2022 was an amazing success again thank you to our brilliant catering team. The children behaved brilliantly, had super manners and loved eating with the staff. Enjoy the smiles and thank you to all of the staff for making today so special.
A few dates for you!
Odd socks day on Monday 14th to mark the start of anti-bullying well. No donations needed, this is just for fun to celebrate differences and encourage children to see that they should all be proud of being unique.
Children in Need on Friday 18th November - fundraising is the purpose for children who need support so the children can just wear their own clothes, something spotty or CIN clothing/headwear etc. Please don’t feel you need to buy anything. Face paints welcome. Cash donations or ParentPay will be very gratefully received but there is no need as we know every penny counts at the moment.
Reading Together at CCI on Wednesday 30th November 3.25-3.55pm, Parents are invited back into school with children to read together and get support with reading at home.
Some of our wonderful Y2s have been going around the classes this week selling Remembrance Day poppies and other items to raise money for the Royal British Legion. Feel free to send your child with a small donation for a poppy or £1 for the other items.
Thank you!
